 Zindagi Ki Shor

Zindagi ki shor, rajnit ki apadhaati, rishton naataon ke
galiyon aur kya khoya kya  paaya ke  baazaaro se aage, soch
ke raaste par  kahin ek aisa  nukkaD aata hai jahan pahunch
kar  insaan  ekaaki ho  jaata hai. tab, jaag  uththa hai ek
kavi. fir  shabdon ke  rangoN se jeewan ki anokhi tasveeren
banti haiN,  kavitaayen aur geet, sapnoN ki tarah aate haiN
aur kaagaz par  hamesha ke liye  apna ghar  bana lete hain.

Atal ji ki ye kavitaayen, aise hi pal, aise hi  chaaON mein
likhi  gayi haiN, jab sunane waale aur sunaane  waale meiN,
tum aur maiN ki  deewaareN TooT  jaati hai, duniya ki saari
dhaDkaNe  simat kar ek dil  meiN aa jaati haiN, aur kavi ke
shaBd  duniya ke har  samwelan  sheel  insaan ke  shaBD ban

The Vijaypura(Bijapur) Historical City

The Vijaypura(Bijapur) Historical City

History: The city was established in the 10th-11th centuries by the Kalyani Chalukyas and was known as Vijayapura (City of victory). The city was passed to Yadavas after Chalukya's demise. The city came under the influence of the Khilji Sultanae in Delhi by the late 13th century. In 1347, the area was conquered by the Bahmani Sultane of Gulburga. By this time, the city was being referred as Vijapur or Bijapur. Bijapur, Karnataka. Ironically the name Beejpur literally means replete with seeds in Sanskrit, meaning Pomegranate.

Bijapur experienced a great burst of architectural activity under the Adil Shahi dynasty. The Adil Shahis encouraged building activity to such an extent that Bijapur itself has over 50 mosques, more than 20 tombs and a number of palaces.

At present Bijapur District is a district in the state of Karnataka in southern India. The city of Bijapur is the headquarters of the district, and is located 530 km northwest of Bangalore.

Some of the Famous Attractions in Bijapur:

 Gol Gumbaz

This is the most famous monument in Bijapur. It is the tomb of Mohammed Adil Shah (ruled 1627-1657). It is the largest dome ever built, next in size only to St Peter's Basilica in Rome. A particular attraction in this monument is the central chamber, where every sound is echoed seven times. Another attraction at the Gol Gumbaz is the Whispering Gallery, where even minute sounds can be heard clearly 37 metres away. Gol Gumbaz complex includes a mosque, a Naqqar Khana (a hall for the trumpeters) (Now it is used as museum) and the ruins of guest houses.

 Ibrahim Rouza

The beautiful Ibrahim Rouza is clearly among the most elegant and finely-proportioned Islamic monuments in India. Its tale is rather poignant: the monument was built by emperor Ibrahim Adil Shah II (r 1580–1627) as a future mausoleum for his queen, Taj Sultana. Ironically, he died before her, and was thus the first person to be rested there. Interred here with Ibrahim Adil Shah and his queen are his daughter, his two sons, and his mother, Haji Badi Sahiba.

  Barakaman

A mausoleum of Ali Roza built in 1672. It was previously named as Ali Roza, but Shah Nawab Khan changed its name to Bara Kaman as this was the 12th monument during his reign. It has now seven arches and the tomb containing the graves of Ali, his queens and eleven other ladies possibly belonging to the Zenana of the queens.

Shivagiri

The 85 Feet Statue of Lord Shiva, This is located on the way to sindagi. Here you can see the largest shiva statue and also you can see Kashi Vishwanath Linga below the statue. This is the 2nd largest statue of Shiva in the world. Peacock is another attraction of this place, It is just around 5km from Bijapur city

Lord Basava

Lord Basava the great social reformer. He was born in Bagewadi, a small village in Bijapur District, Basavanna was a great saint, is considered GURU by some and some believe in him as an incarnation of Lord Shiva's greatest devotee. This great soul lived in the 12th century. A true visionary of his time and a revolutionary who started a new religion Lingayatism, which literally means 'The brave followers of Shiva'. Basavanna's ultimate aim was to make this fundamental right available to each and everyone. Basavanna, keeping Welfare as the ultimate aim, he expedited program mes to take religion to the people. By preaching and writing religious literature in Kannada. His samadhi is at Kudalasangama.
